Our Government

During lecture in my government and politics class I stumbled upon a question that has no answer, or for that matter a plight of “catch-22″. As the professor discussiones our forefathers’ idealolgy of human nature, that we are deprave, self-seeking, selfish, and untrustworthy Thus there is a need for a democratic centeral government to organize these
Nice website!!
I didn’t read a question above. However, the idea that our forefathers’ idealogy of human nature, that we are deprave, self-seeking, selfish, and untrustworthy is an assumption by 1 or more individuals. I would disagree with the assumption entirely. There are only parts of society like that. Therefore we make laws to protect us from them. Central governments have always been much more corrupt, deprave, self-seeking, selfish, and untrustworthy than any one or more groups in our society. When governments can grant themselves power to act in any situation without restriction because they think they know better than you or me is dangerous for everyone. In the last century the good intentions of central governments around the world murdered and slaughter more than 300 million innocent people for no good reason. These were not wartime casualties but simply central governments purging people they thought were undesirable or a threat to the governments power. Just my thoughts.
